Does markdossier require an internet connection?

No. markdossier works completely offline. It's a local app that reads and writes files on your Mac. No cloud, no accounts, no login.

What macOS versions are supported?

markdossier requires macOS 14 (Sonoma) or later.

Can I use markdossier with my existing markdown files?

Yes. Open any .md file or drag a folder into the sidebar. markdossier reads standard markdown and never modifies your files without your action.

How does hot-reload work with AI agents?

markdossier watches open files for changes using macOS file system events. When an agent (Claude Code, Cursor, etc.) writes to a file you have open, the rendered view updates automatically. The sidebar also refreshes when files are created or deleted externally.

What export formats are supported?

Word (.docx), PDF, EPUB, HTML, and LaTeX. Export uses Pandoc under the hood. If you don't have Pandoc installed, markdossier will prompt you to install it.

Is there a trial or free version?

markdossier is a one-time purchase of $14.99 on the Mac App Store. There is no subscription and no separate free tier. Apple offers a refund within 14 days of purchase if it's not for you.

How do I request a feature or report a bug?

Email support@markdossier.com with a description. For bugs, include your macOS version and steps to reproduce. We read every message.
